Author, peace-keeper, refugee worker, human rights activist and now political candidate for
the Indian Parliament, Shashi Tharoor straddles several worlds of experience.
Dr. Shashi Tharoor is the Chairman of Dubai-based Afras Ventures, a company that aims
to promote socially-relevant investments in India.
While it has a number of projects on the drawing board, its first project is the establishment of
a state-of-the-art training centre in Kerala, Afras Academy for Business Communications (AABC)
to develop business communication and presentation skills.
